I have been living with pain since 1996!

Every time I would tell a doctor they would just explain that after having four children my body was trying to get back to normal.

I knew that wasn’t why my back hurt all day and I couldn’t sleep and my knees hurt so bad trying to walk up the finest step.

But what could I do? I felt so helpless. I finally saw a new doctor in 2010 and he diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. He prescribed me a opioid pain medicine and said that was all he could do for me.

So, after 2 years of taking this addictive medicine, I just stopped one day. I was tired of going day after day the same, always in bed and missing out on my children’s important milestone.

I wasn’t living I was just getting by. I have been on so many meds since 2012 trying to find something to help me be able to at least get out of bed, get dressed in something besides my pj’s and have some kind of life.

I am still struggling day to day, hour by hour and minute by minute, but I’m not going to give up. I sometimes feel punished for something I did in my life, I have had suicidal thoughts the pain and misery have been so bad and constant, not to mention all the other things fibromyalgia brings.

I hope someone reads my story and feels lime they aren’t alone, and one day each of us will find out miracle pain relief. Thank you for reading.
